To discover the Himalayan birds, the charming hill station of Nainital in the Kumaon hills is the ideal place. The forest altitude 400 m to 2600 m, giving the entire area a various bird life. An amazing 640 type have been found here.
Jim Corbett National Park is very well-known for a unique range of bird’s life. You can find here local as well as drifter type. At Corbett, you must visit the moderately new convergence of the rivers Mandal and Ramganga. The forest is regular by the Ultramarine Flycatcher, Long-tailed Broadbill and Blue-winged Minla. Little and Spotted Forktails, Brown Dipper and the Slaty, are easy to see, as are the Long-billed Thrush and Common Green Magpie
Dhikala/Gairal, is the heart of the Corbett National Park. The grassland of Dhikala is the best place for bird watching. More than 50 type’s birds are found here. Large owls include the Brown Fish Owl and the rare Tawny Fish Owl. You can also see Hen Harrier, Red Avadavat, Bright-headed Cisticola, Chestnut-capped Babbler and Grass Owl.
In winters, the Ramganga Lake is full by waders, herons, ducks, and egrets in large numbers. Pallases and Osprey Fish Eagle are also commonly seen here. The river Kosi is a best place to view the Great Thicknee, the Ibisbill, and Wall Creeper.

Winter and summer seasons are ideal to visit Jim Corbett National Park. But only for birding purpose the best time duration is September to March.
1. Day visit to all zones are strictly regulated as per the scientifically calculated carrying capacity and only a limited number of vehicles are permitted entry during each morning and afternoon.
2. Permits for day visits to the Sonanadi Ecotourism zone can be obtained from the visitor reception center located at Kotdwar.
3. Permits for day visits to other zones are available online on our website.
4. Visitors are advised to acquaint themselves with gate timings and arrive well before the designated time to avoid any inconvenience.
5. Private vehicles are 'not' allowed entry for tourism purposes into the park and visitors use specially designed vehicles, registered with CTR for this purpose. Day visits to the Dhikala Ecotourism Zone are permitted only through the specially designed Canter buses via Ramganga Conducted Tours.
6. Visitors can also enjoy elephant rides at Bijrani and Dhikala ecotourism Zone, which is available on 'First come, first get' basis.
7. Canteen facilities are available at Dhikala, Bijrani and Gairal. At other locations, kitchen facilities have been provided
8. The Jeep will pickup & drop from/to the Resort/Hotel/Railway Station as specified by the Traveller. (Conditions Apply)
